90% Zinfandel and 10% Petite Sirah
Tasting Notes: Black and red fruit aromas such as blackberry, cherry, plum, raspberry and cranberry. Subtle white pepper & nutmeg, with hints of tobacco. Vanilla and softer tannins.
Food Pairing: BBQ, stuffed peppers, fall inspired salads, chicken & pork dishes.
Zinfandel has a long history in America and has been grown on the West Coast for over 100 years! Although the grape is originally from Croatia, most Zinfandel is now grown and produced in California. Dry Creek Valley is located Northwest of Healdsburg in Sonoma County and is well known for the Zinfandel fruit it produces.We source our fruit from the Milligan Vineyard, which is a small 5 acre block of Old Vine Zinfandel. These vines are 50 years old & only produce 1.5 tons per acre, but of fruit that has a higher concentration of sugar & juice in each grape.
