Tasting Notes: A medium-bodied white wine, this viognier has vibrant honeysuckle and banana taffy on the nose, with secondary notes of stonefruit. Best enjoyed cold on a hot summer day!
Food Pairings: Respecting its delicate floral notes & acidity, focus on expanding these core flavors. Chicken tagine with apricots & almonds or a Teriyaki Tofu would be great dinner pairings.
Adam Carruth made his first ever Viognier in 2023. It was such a hit that when given the oppotunity to make it again in 2025, he didn't hestiate. Pronounced (Vee-own-yay), this is a full-bodied white wine that originated in southern France. We sourced this Viognier from the Kunde Family Vineyard in Sonoma Mountain, located in the northwest area of the greater Sonoma Valley appellation. The 2025 harvest is shaping up to be a high-quality, classic vintage. After a rainy winter, the season brought a long, cooler summer with very few major heat spikes. These steady conditions allowed for slow, even ripening, giving the grapes extra time on the vine and resulting in wines with vibrant acidity, balanced structure, and excellent quality. At the winery, we produced many of our usual suspects, though in smaller quantities due to space limitations. Once we received the Viognier grapes in Oceanside, we pressed them here on site. The juice then fermented in a stainless steel tank. We bottled the wine in February 2026.
