2018 Knights Valley Malbec

Knight's Valley sits between the Mayacamas and Mount St Helena, keeping the valley from all coastal influences and making it one of the hottest regions in Sonoma. The elevation keeps the nights cool helping retain acidity and keep the wines balanced. The soil is a mix of volcanic and alluvial gravel soils. The grapes we get come from the same vineyard that supplies Heidi Barrett, the old head winemaker of Screaming Eagle, a world renown winery. After pressing, the wines were aged for 22 months in 100% once used French Oak before being bottled in September 2020.
